 Monday, 21 October 1991 – From the foot of the Cho La pass to our Lobuje East base camp: We spent a bitterly cold night in our campsite (which was at 4,950 metres above sea-level) at the foot of the Cho La. When this photograph was taken at 7:30 in the morning, the temperature was minus 9 degrees C. |
