An attempt on Lobuje East, 1991 |
 Thursday, 24 October 1991 – Our Lobuje East summit attempt: We were woken at 2:00 am and had some hot, spicy soup. The temperature was only about -5 degrees C, so getting dressed wasn’t particularly painful. I then had some porridge and a cup of drinking chocolate. I took this photograph of Ralph (on the left) and Rod shortly before we set off at 4:00 am. |
