An attempt on Lobuje East, 1991 |
 Thursday, 24 October 1991 – Our Lobuje East summit attempt: As I recorded in my diary, “Torch troubles were endemic. Almost all of them failed.” Thankfully, however, there was a full moon, and it was bright enough for us to see – as can be seen in this photograph that I took of Rinzing (in the red jacket) and Dave tackling a small band of icy rocks. |
