 Wednesday, 30 October 1991 – From Lukla to Kathmandu: Flying in and out of Lukla – especially given that the airstrip was unsealed – was exciting, and not recommended for nervous passengers. Lukla has been described as “one of the world’s most dangerous airports.” I took this picture of a plane landing while we were waiting to catch a flight out of Lukla. |
