 Wednesday, 30 October 1991 – From Lukla to Kathmandu: Diane, Geoff, Jon, and Rod got onto the fourth fixed-wing flight of the day, which left Lukla at 12:00 noon; Eric, Mike, Ralph and I eventually left at 2:00 pm on the fifth flight of the day. I described the flight in my diary as “exciting and bumpy, but not scary.” The is a photograph that I took of the third Lukla to Kathmandu flight getting ready to depart, and as you can see from the number of people on the other side of the runway, I wasn’t the only person keen to get a shot of the plane … |
