From our perspective, the best website was the Mauna Kea Weather Center’s specialist site, and the day after we arrived on the island it was predicting “a relatively strong/deep cold front” resulting in “another round of overcast skies, heavy snow, [and] convection”. “All in all,” it warned, there would be “poor weather [and] icy conditions” on Mauna Kea. |
