Climbing Mauna Kea |
 At 9:50 am, looking at the eastern edge of the mountain, we caught our first glimpse of one of the many telescopes and observatories on Mauna Kea. (It was a long way from us, and this is a telephoto picture I took of it to double-check that it was, indeed, a large satellite dish that we could see on the horizon.) |
