The Milford Track |
 This photograph of a map in a DoC pamphlet about the Milford Track shows where we went. On Thursday afternoon, 4 April 1996, David and I walked from Glade Wharf to the Clinton Forks Hut. On Friday, 5 April, we hiked largely alongside the Clinton river from the Clinton Forks Hut to Mintaro Hut. The following day we climbed up, over, and down the Mackinnon Pass and spent our third and final night on the track in Dumpling Hut. On Sunday, 7 April, we walked to the end of the track at Sandfly Point, where we caught a boat to Milford and a bus back to Te Anau. |
