 … at 12:35 pm – half-an-hour and six-tenths of a mile / one kilometre after leaving the junction of the Hopkins and Van Hoevenberg trails – I reached the final junction on the trail to the summit of Mt Marcy. I had come 6.8 miles / 11 kilometres, and now had only another six-tenths of a mile / one kilometre to go. What is more, the sky was clearing slightly. |
