Climbing Mt Marcy, New York |
 After spending a couple of days in Maine visiting my aunt and cousin, Bobbie and Roger Selverstone, Heather and I drove to Rutland, Vermont, to visit Peggy and Andy Shinn. Peggy and I first met when we climbed Europe’s highest mountain – Mt Elbrus in Russia – in 1994. Heather and I left the Shinns’ house on Saturday morning, 9 September 2017, and drove west on US federal highway 4 for little more than half-an-hour before we entered New York state. |
