 I got back to the Old Mitchell Trailhead at 1:55 pm – after a hike that had taken me a little less than three-and-a-half hours (which included spending almost an hour at or near the summit of the mountain). Despite the weather, I was pleased I’d resisted the temptation take the easy way to the top by doing what the occupants of this car (and everyone else with the exception of the couple from Tennessee that I’d met on the trail) were doing – namely, driving to the summit car park.
