 In order to reach my next destination – the Great Smoky Mountains National Park – I headed south from Mt Mitchell for 114 miles / 183 kilometres on the Blue Ridge Parkway. As the weather improved during the afternoon, the fall colours in the forests lining the route were stunning. |
