Climbing Mt Mitchell |
 The morning after I climbed Mt Mitchell I left North Carolina, but I returned to the state ten days later in order to visit the state legislature in Raleigh, North Carolina’s capital city. The state legislative building was completed in January 1963 and was designed by Edward Durrell Stone – who was later the architect for the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, DC. |
