 Most impressive of all the Presidents and houses were Thomas Jefferson and his home, Monticello (which is on the outskirts of Charlottesville, Virginia). Jefferson, the United States’ third President (he was in office from 1801-1809), was a true polymath – a genius in every respect, and his home not only contained a multitude of treasures, but is also a national treasure. |
