Climbing Mt Rainier |
 On Tuesday, 26 June 2007, Eric Hodge and Roger Marcus successfully reached the summit of Mt Hood, the highest mountain in Oregon. I didn’t. Somewhere near Crater Rock, at an altitude of about 10,200 feet / 3,100 metres, I told Eric and Roger that I was going to turn round and head back down to Timberline / Wy'east and that they should go on without me. The following evening, on the patio of Roger and Amanda’s Lake Oswego home, we celebrated Eric and Roger’s success.
