Climbing Mt Rainier |
 During our second rest, we were passed by another RMI guided party. The easy – almost nonchalant – gait of the guide leading the group was in stark contrast to the laboured – almost lumbering – style of the climbers behind her. The lead guide was rest-stepping: her left leg is straight and thus weight-bearing, while she lifts her right leg and moves it forward. |
