Climbing Mt Rainier |
 A late afternoon view from Camp Muir looking south towards Mt Adams and – barely visible towards the right-hand side of this photograph – Mt Hood, which we’d been on a week earlier. I had abandoned my summit attempt on Mt Hood at about 10,200 feet / 3,100 metres, roughly the same altitude as Camp Muir. I was very pleased that I felt much better at Camp Muir on Mt Rainier than I’d felt at the Devil’s Kitchen on Mt Hood. |
