 Eric, Melissa, and I duly wrote in the summit register. Note (i) that it was Melissa’s 45th ascent of the mountain; and (ii) that in view of the fact that it was the fourth of July – American Independence Day – I couldn’t resist quipping that New Zealand, unlike America, had been a loyal colony! |
