The Rakiura Track |
 Rakiura, the Maori name for Stewart Island, means Glowing Skies, and this photograph looking across Paterson Inlet from the hills above Oban, Stewart Island’s sole town, which I took one evening in late January 1974, not only shows how apt the name Rakiura is, but it’s also one of my all-time favourite sunset photographs. |
