Climbing Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa


Aidan took this picture of me looking surprisingly cheerful despite the appalling weather on Snowdon. Aidan and I were not novice climbers – the previous year he and I had both successfully climbed Denali, the highest mountain in North America. Nevertheless, Snowdon (roughly one-sixth the height of Denali) defeated us on 24 October 1998!
