Rather like Mt Washington, the highest mountain in New England, there’s a railway line that goes to the top of Snowdon! It’s on the northern side of the ridge between Snowdon and Garnedd Ugain. In this photograph people can also be seen heading down the Llanberis Path, “the easiest and longest of the six main paths to the summit of Snowdon.” Far below, near the top left-hand corner of the photograph, are the town of Llanberis and Llyn Padarn (which, according to Google Translate, means Paddle Lake). |
