Climbing Snowdon / Yr Wyddfa

A short while after we’d crossed the Llyn Llydaw causeway, we were able to look down onto the pipeline that carries water from Llyn Llydaw down to the Cwm Dyli hydro-electricity power station (which was built in 1906). When we were heading west up the Miners’ Track in the morning, we barely noticed the pipeline, and we were only really conscious of it – and of how big it is – for the first time while we were heading east back towards Pen-y-Pass.
