… the United States Geological Survey (USGS) summit marker on Spruce Knob. I got to the top of Spruce Knob – the highest peak in the Allegheny mountains – at 1:45 pm on Thursday, 5 November 2015. The summit of the mountain is 4,863 feet / 1,482 metres above sea-level, which makes Spruce Knob the 24th highest of the fifty US state highpoints. |
