Spruce Knob, West Virginia

On 5 November 2015, I drove from Charleston, the capital of West Virginia, to Spruce Knob, the highest mountain in the state, and after a short hike reached its summit, which is 4,863 feet / 1,482 metres above sea-level. Spruce Knob is the 24th highest of the fifty US state highpoints, and it was the 37th US state highpoint I'd climbed or visited.
