Cellphones were still fairly uncommon in 1995 (I didn’t get one, for instance, until another 10 years had gone by), but I remember wishing that I’d had one: I’d have loved to have rung my mother from the summit of Mt Taranaki to surprise her on her 83rd birthday! |
