Climbing Mt Taranaki |
 September 2008: The third time I climbed Mt Taranaki, I was one of seven members of the New Zealand Alpine Club on a club trip that I’d organised. Six of us met at the Wellington railway station at 2:00 pm on Friday afternoon, 19 September 2008, and we then drove (in two cars) to the North Egmont visitor centre’s car park. I took this photograph shortly before we set off from the car park at 8:15 pm to hike up to the Tahurangi Lodge.
