 September 2008: Lorraine did likewise. (Note that in this photograph and the previous one – both taken by Steve – Lorraine and I were wearing crampons while glissading. In retrospect, that was something we shouldn’t have been doing, as I learnt painfully six years later while climbing on Mt Ruapehu.) |
