Thirteen Formative Years |
 BACKGROUND: Most of my web-albums start with a photograph of a flag, and this one is no exception. This was South Africa’s flag for all of the 13 years that I and the other members of my family lived there. As will be discussed later in this web-album, the country was formally known as the Union of South Africa for 12 of those 13 years; during our final year there it was the Republic of South Africa. |
