 BACKGROUND: These are the only surviving photographs that were taken of me when we lived in England for the first three years of my life. On the rear of the left-hand picture, Bobby’s neat handwriting records the fact that I was five-and-a-half months old when it was taken; I assume that the right-hand picture was taken when I was somewhere around 18 months old. |
