 HOLIDAYS – Three hitchhiking holidays: The third and final hitchhiking holiday that I went on while living in Johannesburg was in January 1961 and was unique in two key respects: it was wholly within South Africa, and my hitchhiking partner was my brother Stuart. We hitchhiked from Johannesburg via Kimberley and Cape Town to Hermanus; then from Hermanus to Plettenberg Bay; and finally home from Plettenberg Bay via Stutterheim. |
