 Because the Whanganui Journey is an official Great Walk, all accommodations – whether tent sites or bunks in a hut – have to be reserved in advance. As a result, even though we were far from being the fastest of paddlers on the river, we knew we were guaranteed beds for the night in the John Coull Hut. |
