 We reached the beach at Tieke Kainga at 4:25 pm – eight hours and five minutes after leaving the landing below John Coull Hut. We had paddled only 29 kilometres, but we had, of course, also spent two-and-a-quarter hours at Mangapurua and the Bridge to Nowhere. |
