Climbing White Butte |
 We left Interstate Highway 94 seventeen miles / 27 kilometres west of Dickinson, and turned onto US highway 85. After travelling south for about 27 miles / 43 kilometres on US-85, we crested a small hill and were treated to this view of farmlands, the Stewart Lake National Wildlife Refuge (which is in the middle distance), and White Butte (on the horizon). |
