 Although I’ve been to California many times (probably more times than to any state except Minnesota) and although I’d climbed in California on previous occasions, when Eric Hodge and I arrived in California’s Owens Valley in July 2012, it was the first time either of us had visited the state with the express intention of trying to climb Mt Whitney. |
