 At 8:20 pm on Wednesday, 18 July, there was a spectacular sunset above the Sierra Nevadas. I took some comfort from it, because if the old saying “Red sky at night, sailor’s delight” was accurate, then Eric and I were in for a good day on Mt Whitney. |
