Woodall Mountain, Mississippi |
 After spending almost an hour at the Mississippi state highpoint, I left Woodall Mountain. My initial intention had been to go to Tupelo, Mississippi, to see Elvis Presley’s birthplace. On my way there, however, I learnt that there’d been a deadly tornado in Tupelo the previous day, and – as a result – roads into the city were almost impassable. I changed plans and headed south-east on US-78 and into Alabama … on my way to my next state highpoint. |
