 We stopped at the 1,200-metre contour at 9:40 am (it had taken us almost exactly three hours to get there), because the La Trobe zoologists split up at that point. Manoli and Rachael (left) were going to collect the traps they’d set at the 1,200-metre and 1,000-metre marks, while Katie and Heloise (standing on the right and still carrying their packs) were going to go on up to the 1,400-metre contour to pick up the traps that had been set there. |
