 While I was in England in August 1963, I went to visit three of my grandparents – none of whom I’d seen since 1949. This is a picture of my paternal grandfather, Harry Roberts, at his home in Barnstaple, Devon. This photograph wasn’t taken by me either; it was taken by my youngest brother, Charles, in late 1969 or early 1970. |
