Europe, 1963 |
 While we were driving through Austria, Bill took this photograph of me perched on the roof of the Citroën deux Chevaux, as well as of Gary in the front seat and of Dave behind him. Under the terms of the bubble car’s insurance policy, I was the only person allowed to drive it, so for the seven weeks that the four of us toured Europe together, each day a different passenger from amongst the LA trio would accompany me in the Heinkel, while the other two drove in the Citroën. |
