 Introduction – UNITED KINGDOM: In July 1968, we moved from Farnham to Colchester so that I could become a postgraduate student in the Department of Government at the University of Essex. This is a photograph I took in 1969 of the university campus at Wivenhoe Park (which is roughly six kilometres / four miles east of Colchester). The building on the right-hand side of the picture is the university library, while the tall dark towers on the left were student accommodation blocks. |
