 Day 45 (29 October 1969) – WEST TYROL, AUSTRIA: Although a stout grill prevented us from entering of the Cistercian monastery’s chapel, I poked my camera though the grill’s iron bars and aimed it at the ornate ceiling, where I captured this picture of Salome holding up the bloody head of John the Baptist. |
