 Day 48 (1 November 1969) – VEZELAY: During the afternoon, while driving from Dijon to Bourges, we saw a small hilltop town and – on the spur of the moment – decided to have a look at it. We were very pleased we did. It has an amazing abbey. Ten years after we visited it, the town and abbey were given UNESCO World Heritage status. |
