Climbing Guadalupe Peak, Texas

Geoff looking down at the steep drop beside the trail at a spot where “cliff riders” are instructed to “dismount” from their horses in order to “lead” them along this part of the trail. Although we saw other hikers on the Guadalupe Peak trail, we did not see any horse-riders and there was little evidence (i.e., in the form of manure) to indicate that riding up the peak was a common activity.
