 At 8:00 am, we met Kerry and Sylvia Carman coming down the mountain. They were the couple from Iowa who had filled in the intentions’ register before me and who’d started out on the Guadalupe Peak trail some 75 minutes before I did. They told me that they are also keen highpointers, with roughly forty US state highpoints under their belts. |
