 … I took this photograph of Simone and Marilena at the halfway mark for the first day’s hike. Philipp – a very quick hiker – was ahead of us. Simone, Marilena, and I decided to stop for lunch near the halfway mark, and I dug down into my daypack and pulled out my lunch … as well as Philipp’s! I ruefully concluded I ought not to stop for lunch, but should carry on instead to find Philipp so he wouldn’t go hungry. |
