When I was nearly back at Little Acres, I had a wonderful view in the distance of an area where I had climbed in 1961 and 1962, namely the Cathedral Peak region of the Drakensberg mountains. Cathedral Peak (3,004 metres / 9,855 feet) is the prominent mountain near the right-hand edge of the furthest range that's silhouetted in this panoramic photograph. On its immediate left is the Bell (2,930 metres / 9,613 feet), while the Inner and Outer Horns (3,005 and 3,006 metres / 9,859 and 9,862 feet) dominate the right-hand edge of the picture. What a great way to end a superb trip! (This is the last picture in this album.) |
