Climbing Mt Meharry

Finally, to end this album I’ve included a photograph of another painting in the WA Art Gallery. It’s by Guy Grey-Smith and is entitled “Horseshoe Range” (which is south of Newman). Grey-Smith’s “simplification of form” and “controlled use of colour” have been said to “distil the essence of the landscape” of north-west Australia, and I think this painting also captures the colours and magic of Mt Meharry. (This is the last picture in this album.)
