 2019 I spent most of September 2019 in South Africa, primarily to visit my youngest brother Charlie, who had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March 2019. This photograph of us standing in front of the gates to what had been the house we’d lived in at 27, 12th Avenue, Parktown North, Johannesburg, from 1951 until 1962, was taken on 3 September 2019. Very sadly, Charlie died 15 months later. |
