 The end of the hike to the top of Charles Mound and back. The round-trip of about three miles / five kilometres had taken us a total of an hour and twenty minutes (including the 15 minutes we spent at the top of the hill). In 2004 I hiked to the top of my second highpoint – Eagle Mountain, Minnesota – together with Evan and Cathy. There was a lovely symmetry in the fact that I visited my second-to-last US state highpoint together with Evan, as well as with Heather and Simon. (This is the last picture in this album.) |
