Climbing Granite Peak

On Friday, 28 July 2006, I drove a long way in my small rental car – 369 miles / 594 kilometres to be precise – from Cooke City, Montana (marked “A” on this map), to Rock Springs, Wyoming (“B”); and the next day I drove from Rock Springs to Salt Lake City, Utah (“C”) – only half the previous day’s distance and all of it on a multi-lane interstate highway (namely, I-80 West).
